The Story Behind Her Forté
My journey with fitness started in 2015 through sports, but what truly connected me was the confidence I found through strength training. The gym became my outlet, a place where I learned discipline, resilience, and what it meant to push my limits. That passion led me to compete in my first bodybuilding show in 2016 and earn my personal training certification through NASM in 2017.
When I started coaching women, I noticed a pattern (one I recognized in myself too). We were all chasing smaller. Smaller bodies, smaller meals, smaller versions of ourselves. Terrified to eat more, convinced carbs were the enemy, and worried that building muscle would make us "too masculine." And despite all that effort, most of us still didn't feel our best.
I was living proof of that. Under-eating, over-training, had lost my period, and constantly questioning my body. I thought I was doing everything right, but I only felt more exhausted, disconnected, and anything but confident.
That season changed everything for me. I didn't just want to get fit anymore. I wanted to understand my body, feel genuinely strong, and actually be healthy, not just smaller. And I knew I wasn't the only woman who felt that way.
So I went back to school. I earned my Bachelor's in Nutrition, then my Master's in Nutrition & Dietetics, completed over 1,200 clinical hours, and focused my graduate research on women's nutrition and fertility. Through all of it, one thing became undeniably clear. Women deserve better — better education about our bodies, our hormones, and our health. We deserve to know how to fuel ourselves, how our cycle works, and how to train in ways that truly support our bodies.
That's why I created Her Forté. Your health, body, and mind deserve to be your strongest asset…and this is the guidance I wished I had when I needed it most.
